Community & photo guidelines

katokmap is only as good as the community behind it. These guidelines keep ratings honest, photos useful, and listings accurate. Breaking them can get your content removed or your account suspended.

• Rate based on a real visit — not rumours or rivalries.
• One rating per shop per person; rate again only to update it.
• Don't post fake ratings, or rate your own shop to boost it.

• Only post photos of the food or the shop you're reviewing.
• Post only photos you took or have the right to use. Don't include other people's faces without their consent.
• No offensive, misleading, illegal, or unrelated images. Remember: photos are public.

• Submit real shops with accurate name, location, and details.
• Claim a shop only if you actually own or run it.
• New shops go live after a quick review (usually within a day).

Use Report to flag a shop that has moved, closed, or has the wrong details — not to settle scores. Misusing reports is itself a breach of these guidelines.

• Harassment, hate speech, or impersonating someone.
• Spam, fake content, or manipulating ratings.
• Illegal content, or scraping the site or its data.

Our admins review submissions and can remove photos, ratings, or shops, and may suspend accounts that break these rules. To flag something, use the in-app Report button or email katokmaps@gmail.com.
